Do you love to shop? All of us have the urge for retail therapy from time to time. In this edition, we’re going to focus on some of our favorites in the 417 area for all your home decor needs.

Mourey’s Flooring located on West Battlefield is a great place to shop. This locally owned and operated retailer is more than just floors. Their friendly, knowledgeable staff has scoured the globe for hand-picked items. From the floor up, you can find timeless rugs, unique furniture and hand-made decor pieces to accent every room in your home. Mourey’s is definitely top of our list when we set out to design our client’s homes.

Another local gem in The Lighthouse Gallery just off South National. There’s no better way to add style to your home than fantastic lighting. The Lighthouse Gallery’s selection of fixtures is well worth a visit. And while you’re there, don’t be surprised if you find that great accent chair you’ve been hurting for or even the perfect decor item to complete your home’s signature style.

Local retailers are always where we start, but many people forget that great style doesn’t have to come with outrageous price tags. Some of our favorite places to score trendy and current decor while staying on budget are chain stores like Home Goods, Kirkland’s and even Dillard’s home department.

Home Goods has an amazing ever revolving product inventory and surprisingly you can find luxury brands without paying the luxury prices. We know we have no trouble locating the perfect items for any of our clients regardless of style at this location.  For our more traditional and farmhouse style clientele, we hit Kirkland’s. This often forgotten stop has wonderful collection based products and budget friendly items that help us create cohesive designs. Another conus of Kirkland’s is the ability to shop online and pick up in the store. When was the last time you venture to the second floor of Dillard’s in the Battlefield Mall? Their inventory of higher end furniture is heirloom quality and aids us in filling all the needs of our clients.

Who knew that right here at home are so many stunning retailers who have everything you desire to style or upgrade your home? We did! And we love each of these retailers and don’t know what we would do without them!
