those answers. Yes- we’re an “interior design” firm, but our field of expertise goes way beyond

interiors! Who all do we work with? Well, let me tell you!

Interior designers work with so many talented and varied tradespeople. It’s our job to keep up

with the best of the best to ensure our clients and their design projects can be brought to life

with style and experience.

Most interior designers are self-employed. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, of

the almost 100,000 interior design jobs, 32% were self-employed in 2022. And the next largest

percentage of those jobs (27%) are employed for specialized services. I say this to help you

know we do our best to work with the best, because we know the results we want to provide for

our clients are determined by quality tradespeople we collaborate with.

Architects are one main group we work with closely. Our working relationships with local

companies allows us to partner up and make incredible spaces. Architects are responsible for

the physical, structural elements of a building, making sure every aspect is safe and meets

code. We work with them to make the space aesthetically pleasing and functional specific to our

clients wants and needs.

Home builders or developers are also our main allies. A home builder group is there to ensure

projects run smoothly. From breaking ground to final landscaping, a developer has their hand on

the pulse of a build. We love to work with local builders to create custom, one-of-a-kind homes

and creative, commercial spaces.

Contractors are our friends! Contractors include carpenters, painters, plumbers, electricians and

more. These folks are the backbone of a project and experts in their individual fields. Without

their help, our team would be lost. We work intimately with each contractor to ensure projects

stay on time and in budget.

Landscape architects are also part of our trusted team. As interior designers, you wouldn’t think

that landscaping would be part of our purview, but when a client wants to add an ‘outdoor room’,

we can design that too. Working with a landscape team, we will utilize their extensive

knowledge to make outdoor spaces pleasing and functional while being conscious of the

existing environment.
